ANNA KIRKMAN, JD

Anna (Obergfell) Kirkman, JD, serves as associate counsel and medical-legal partnership director at Eskenazi Health (formerly Wishard Health Services), which is the safety net hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. As associate counsel, she handles a variety of legal issues, including involuntary civil commitment hearings. As medical-legal partnership coordinator, Ms. Kirkman works to bring doctors and lawyers together to better serve the comprehensive needs of patients.

Ms. Kirkman was the recipient of the Indiana Lawyer’s “2013 Up & Coming Attorney” award. She has been presenting on mental health law in Indiana since 2011. She graduated cum laude from Indiana University, Maurer School of Law in Bloomington, Indiana. Before joining Eskenazi Health, she worked as a summer associate at Stites & Harbison PLLC and Faegre Baker Daniels LLP.
