ANGELA THOMAS JONES, LCMHC, MLADC, LCS, RYT

Angela Thomas Jones, LCMHC, MLADC, LCS, RYT holds dual licensure specializing in trauma-informed treatment of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders with Yoga Alliance Teacher registration.  She also holds post-graduate certification from the Trauma Center of the Justice Resource Institute founded and directed by Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, MD.  Her work with Dartmouth Medical Center Palliative Care and the NH Department of Corrections led her to develop a style of yoga practice utilizing trauma-sensitive protocols.  Angela is licensed as a clinical supervisor and has overseen clinical practice of five levels of care in a non-profit community based treatment facility for co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders and also serves as chairperson for the New Hampshire Association for Addiction Professionals Ethics Committee.  She recently published a literature review, Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Practice, has been an active summer school faculty contributor to the New England Institute of Addiction Studies since 1991 and is an adjunct faculty member of Plymouth State University Counseling Program.  She maintains a private practice in northern New Hampshire.
