HONORABLE JUDGE IRELAND

The Honorable Mark Ireland, is a Minnesota district court judge in the Second Judicial District, Ramsey County. Prior to becoming a judge, he was an assistant attorney general for the State of Minnesota, prosecuting consumer fraud matters. He was also the founder and supervising attorney at the Foreclosure Relief Law Project, which helped families facing foreclosure and communities affected by the foreclosure crisis.

 

Judge Ireland is one of two judges who preside over the district’s four treatment courts (Veteran’s Court, Adult Substance Abuse Court, Mental Health Court, and DWI Court). He also handles general criminal cases, and serves on the Minnesota Supreme Court’s Advisory Committee on the Rules of Juvenile Protection, Adoption, and GAL Procedure.
